How Is Facial Surgery Planned Differently for Men?

Many men want to look less tired or restore a sharper face and neck without looking “done.” The procedure names may be the same, but anatomy, beard growth, hairline, scar placement, skin thickness, brow position, and aesthetic goals can change the plan.

Eyelid Surgery

Upper-eyelid surgery may reduce heavy skin while preserving a naturally lower crease and fuller brow when appropriate. Lower-eyelid surgery can reduce selected bags without aggressively changing the eye shape. The goal is often rested—not wide-eyed.

Facelift and Neck Rejuvenation

Men may prioritize a cleaner jawline and chin-neck angle. Beard-bearing skin and sideburn position affect incision planning, while thicker skin and vascularity can influence swelling and bleeding risk. Blood-pressure control and activity restrictions matter.

Keep the Features That Feel Like You

Not every line needs removal. A lower brow, stronger jaw, or some natural facial movement may be important to identity. Bring photographs from before the change began rather than asking to copy another person’s face.

Consultation Without Commitment

You can begin by describing what looks tired, heavy, or less defined. Your NDV MED team can explain surgical and non-surgical choices, likely downtime, and which option preserves your features best. Learning your options does not commit you to treatment.
