Silicone breast implants are filled with silicone gel and are available in different sizes, shapes, profiles, and gel characteristics.
Many patients choose silicone implants because they can provide a soft, breast-like feel. The right implant, however, must be selected according to your anatomy—not popularity alone.
Are All Silicone Implants the Same?
No. Silicone implants can vary in:
- Width and volume
- Shape and projection
- Gel firmness
- Shell and surface characteristics
- Manufacturer and model
These differences affect how an implant fits your chest and how much fullness it creates.
How Does Your NDV MED Team Select an Implant?
Your team considers your chest dimensions, existing breast tissue, skin quality, desired result, and lifestyle. Your consultation should explain the proposed implant’s brand, model, size, width, profile, expected appearance, limitations, known risks, and available manufacturer information.
What Is a Silent Rupture?
A silicone implant can occasionally rupture without causing an immediate or obvious change. This is called a silent rupture.
Periodic ultrasound or MRI may therefore be recommended, even when you do not notice a problem. Your NDV MED team will advise you about an appropriate monitoring schedule.
Breast implants are not lifetime devices. Future monitoring or surgery may be required.
